Real Madrid reportedly choose Xabi Alonso as next manager ahead of Carlo Ancelotti exit
Real Madrid 'choose Alonso as next manager'
Real Madrid have chosen Xabi Alonso to be their manager from next season, according to Radio Marca.
Alonso has impressed since taking charge of Bayer Leverkusen last season and was linked with the Tottenham job before Ange Postecoglou's appointment.
But he is reportedly set to return to the Bernabeu, where he won LaLiga and the Champions League as a player.
Carlo Ancelotti, Real's current manager, is set to take charge of Brazil at the end of the season.
QPR sign defender Cannon on free transfer
QPR have completed the signing of Reggie Cannon on a free transfer, with the defender agreeing a four-year deal at Loftus Road.
The 25-year-old left Portugese side Boavista in June, meaning he has been able to join Rangers outside the transfer window.
Cannon, a USA international, began his career with FC Dallas in 2016 and spent four years with the MLS side before joining Boavista in the Primeira Liga, where he has been for the past three seasons.
