Real Madrid in advanced negotiations for Jude Bellingham

Home

Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have reached an advanced stage in negotiations for Real Madrid to purchase England midfielder Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund for more than 100 million euros.

The 19-year-old was one of England's best players at the World Cup in 2018, when he was playing for Birmingham City. He moved to Dortmund in July 2020 from Birmingham City.

Real is prepared to offer somewhere in the neighborhood of one hundred million euros for Bellingham, but it is believed that Dortmund is seeking one hundred fifty million euros.

There have been rumors that prominent European clubs are interested in signing Bellingham.

Real are certain that the midfielder wants to join them despite Dortmund having offered him a contract extension to stay there; nonetheless, Manchester City are still keen in signing him.

Because of the high price tag associated with signing Bellingham this summer, Liverpool withdrew from the competition to do so one month ago. When asked about Liverpool's interest in Bellingham at the time, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp compared the club's pursuit of the player to a "child wanting a Ferrari for Christmas."

When Bellingham left Birmingham for Dortmund for £25 million, becoming the most expensive 17-year-old in the history of football, the Championship side were mocked by some for retiring the teenager's shirt number, despite the fact that he only played one full season of professional football. This was despite the fact that Bellingham had only played one full season of professional football.

He was so good at Dortmund that in October of the previous year, at the age of 19, he became the club's youngest captain ever. He made history.

This season, Bellingham has appeared in a total of 40 games for his team, during which he has scored 11 goals and registered seven assists.
