In the quarterfinals of the Europa League, Manchester United will face a Sevilla team that has won the competition a record six times.
In the event that Erik ten Hag's team advances to the semifinals, they will play either Juventus, whose roster features the former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, or Sporting Lisbon, who defeated Arsenal. If they advance, they will face either of these teams.
Bayer Leverkusen will play Union Saint-Gilloise, and Roma will face Feyenoord in the other matchup for a spot in the quarterfinals.
The first games of the series will be played on April 13, and the second legs will be played on April 20.
They have won all of their six titles in this competition since 2006, and they defeated the Red Devils in the semi-finals on their way to winning it in 2020. Sevilla is a recent serial winner of this competition, having won all of their titles since 2006.
Alex Telles, a defender from Brazil who is currently playing for United on loan, is a member of their team.
The manager of United stated that "Sevilla are very experienced in the Europa League and have won it so many times."
"It is imperative that we are conscious of it."
The team coached by Ten Hag won the Carabao Cup earlier this month. They are still competing in the FA Cup and will play Fulham at home in the quarterfinals of that competition on Sunday (16:30 GMT).
